Family is at the core of everything George and Sam do. George & Sam’s Deli & Diner is a family restaurant built on pride, tradition and love for quality food. In fact, The Deli is just the latest chapter in a family story that began 100 years ago. George’s great-grandfather, Angelo, immigrated from Greece in 1924 and got his start in the restaurant business as a dishwasher in Astoria, New York. George’s grandfather, Nick, later kept his father’s dream alive by following him into the restaurant business. In 1975, Sam’s father, Yianni, also immigrated from Greece and began his restaurant career on Long Island, in Port Jefferson, New York. After working day and night to make their dreams become reality, they each became the owner of “old-school” neighborhood restaurants in Ohio that proudly served their communities for years.

Fueled by this same passion, George first opened The Bagel Baker in 2011 and it has been a beloved local eatery ever since. And now, The Deli is George and Sam’s vision of the classic family restaurant- where comfort foods meets timeless tradition.
